The Football Club wish to sincerely thank everyone who contributed to their recent Soup and Pudding where the grand sum of £1093 was raised. The Football Club would especially like to thank all those who contributed the soup and the puddings along with those who generously donated to our raffle prizes. It really is quite remarkable the high standard of cooking at these community events. We were not only very thankful but greatly encouraged by the numbers who turned out to support us on the day, in Breasclete, but also the generosity shown by everyone in purchasing raffle tickets: it was indeed humbling.
We also wish to thank those that were unable to attend but donated money to support us.
Again, thanks to Breasclete Community Association for making their facilities available and also the bowls club for foregoing their regular bowling slot to allow us to use the facility.
It was a very good turn out by the players so as well as thanking them for setting up and cleaning up we need to thank Euan and James for being the first point of contact in collecting the entry fees and Andrew, Duncan and Hamish for selling our raffle tickets. DC and Robbie also made a really valuable contribution as our “floorwalkers” as did Fraser who was an important “cog in the wheel” on the day. Dee, Allan and John “Flossie” had the onerous task of washing up which they (especially Dee surprisingly 😂😂) did without complaint. We also have to thank Kenny Docus and Aaron for all their help in the kitchen.
Special thanks to the late additions to our squad, Joan Maclennan and Kathleen Macdonald whose expertise was invaluable and ensured the smooth running of the event. It really was a great team effort. Smath a rinn suibh !!
Not sure now what Cobby and Dougie did but to his credit Dougie did manage to eat at least one soup and pudding (maybe more ?) in his hectic schedule 😂😂
